Headed down through aspens in hopes of getting to Vermillion Valley Resort in time for dinner, a backcountry campground, kitchen and store that provides a great resupply point in the middle of the Sierras.

Silver Creek falls. This was one of the scarier crossings and we approached it before 6 am. It was freezing cold and immediately afterwards we had to scramble up rocks and then hike on snow for hours.

We took a zero day in Mammoth to resupply and rest. My friend Adrian (Radha Vinode) hosted us at his apartment and made us amazing breakfasts and dinners for the two days there.
