Finally made it to Yosemite! A flooded valley on the way to Tuolumne Meadows.

Finally made it to Yosemite! A flooded valley on the way to Tuolumne Meadows.

At Tuolumne Meadows, Strider and I decided to hike the road to the town of Lee Vining to stock up with more food for the next section. We talked with a park ranger who strongly encouraged us to reconsider heading north due to the streams between Tuolumne and Sonora Pass being near flood stage. After getting to town and checking my messages, a fellow hiker also warned of the stream crossings and said that he and his partner were jumping ahead to Sonora Pass. With this extra information, we made the decision to do the same and hitched a ride from Lee Vining to Sonora Pass to restart the trail.
