Despite a thoroughly urban upbringing, I have always sought the solitude and adventure of wild places.  From hiking and backpacking to mountain biking, activities that put me in the woods were sought after.  The opportunity to create adventures while traveling to distant parts of the world in less than familiar environs increased the possibilities for knowledge and a broader understanding of humanity and culture.

Trained and practiced as an architect, I have delved into photography and primal crafts to satisfy a creative hankering and connection to the raw world.
